At the beginning of the semester, make an appointment to meet privately with your professor. After the first class, contact your professor in person, by email or by phone.
Prepare for your interview (answer the following questions):

- My disability can be described as…
- My skills and abilities are…
- My functional limitations are…
- Successful past adaptive measures and resources have been…
- Establish a plan of action with your professor.
- If you feel your professor has not understood, or does not agree that you should receive certain adaptive measures, talk with your Access Service specialist as soon as possible to resolve the issue.
