COMING SOON (SPRING 2012)

Job postings

Career Services is currently working with the Alumni Relations Office to provide you with job postings. We plan to have this service up and running in spring 2012. Please check the press releases you receive from the Alumni Relations Office for more details.

Did you know?

Graduates can continue using Career Services’ resources for two years after graduation, completely free of charge.

If you graduated more than two years ago, you can access our career consulting services at a rate of $20 a visit or pay $40 a year for unlimited access.

Our counsellors can support you in your career planning, help you in your transition to the workplace or guide you during a significant career change, notably through CV assessment services and simulated interviews.

Why do I need to meet a counsellor?

Depending on your needs, you could:

  • define your expectations
  • set out your career objectives
  • evaluate your professional skills
  • understand the job-market trends in your field
  • draw up your CV
  • establish a career plan or a personal job-search strategy
  • get ready for an interview, etc.

Psychometric testing

Career Services, in partnership with the Counselling and Coaching Service, provides those who graduated less than two years ago with the opportunity of taking two psychometric tests at the reduced rate of $20.

Strong Interest Inventory

The Strong Interest Inventory gives you results you can use to define your areas of interest, both in your professional and daily lives. The report enables you to link your interests and the job categories they fit into.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

With the MBTI, you discover the type of activity that stimulates or interests you most, and you clearly define the tasks or workplaces that suit you best.

The process is designed to help you better understand how your personal interests and personality can guide your career choice. After completing the tests, you meet a counsellor who takes you through an in-depth analysis of the test results and helps you draw up an action plan.

If you graduated more than two years ago, you can take these psychometric tests at the discounted rate of $350 (market value of $500 to $1,000). In addition to the tests, the fee entitles you to a one-hour consultation with a counsellor to review and interpret your results and to craft an action plan. Consultations (by appointment) take place on Wednesday evenings between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Please contact us for an appointment or for more information.
