Undergraduate programs

Teacher education programs: A teacher education program is a one-year, full-time program requiring a bachelor’s degree and prepares students to teach in elementary or secondary schools. It leads to a baccalaureate in education (BEd) from the University of Ottawa and to recommendation for certification by the Ontario College of Teachers, valid in Ontario schools where English is the language of instruction.  The following links provide career options by discipline.

Concomitant programs: Concurrent programs allow student to take courses leading to a baccalaureate in education at the same time they are doing an undergraduate degree in a field other than teaching. The following links provide career options by discipline.
