Join our student mentor team
The entire team tallies over 200 student mentors in 17 mentoring centres. To become a student mentor you are expected to
- Have completed at least one full year at university as a full-time student,
- Have a good academic record,
- Be knowledgeable about the campus, its faculties and services,
- Participate in a number of training sessions on mentoring.

The hiring period runs from March through to August and hiring criteria are those set out by the university’s Work-Study Program (WSP). Please note that WSP is a program managed by Financial Aid and Awards Service (FAAS) located at the University Centre, room 102.
Should you not be eligible to the Work-Study Program, you can join the team as a volunteer. Consult The Centre for Global and Community Engagement website to get details about the Co-curricular Program which certifies volunteer activities.
