Academic Success Research Network

To support the work of professors and researchers interested in the university experience, to enrich its training and service offerings and to assess the efficiency of its programs, the SASS Research Network strives to promote, encourage and facilitate research on the academic success of postsecondary students. In keeping with this mission, the Network aims to

  1. ease cooperation between professor-researchers and graduate students working on or interested in this area of research, specifically
    1. by identifying and proposing research streams for exploring the core issues surrounding academic success
    2. by inviting expressions of interest from the University’s professor-researchers and centralizing the data and information collected
    3. by facilitating the search for internal/external partners
    4. by regularly organizing and facilitating meetings, work sessions and symposiums that attract internal and external researchers in the field
  1. centralize data and information in the field and make them available to the community; examples are
    1. resource material and documentation
    2. funding agencies and organizations
    3. announcements for conferences and symposiums dealing with academic success issues
  1. help disseminate the results of this research through its website.

The Seminar: Research on Academic Success, scheduled for September 30, represents the first stage in the Network's development. Afterward, a summary report of the papers presented and the discussions held will be posted on the Network's website.
